There is often a turning point in people's lives when it becomes more difficult to continue struggling than it is to reach out for help. These can be painful times, but they are also a point when a person is especially open to change. Sometimes, people want an outside perspective, a witness, or some additional coping skills to get through the moment and go on to other focuses. Others are interested in taking a deeper look into their experiences and considering new ways to be in the world. I appreciate the range of what people are looking for in therapy and I love the conversations and insights that arise from reflection during these vulnerable times. I work with individuals and couples using kindness, curiosity and humor. My belief in people's strength and resiliency is at the core of my work.
