The moments in people's lives when it becomes more difficult to continue struggling than it is to reach out for help are often confusing, overwhelming and painful times. They are also when a person is especially vulnerable and open. Sometimes in therapy, people want an outside perspective, a witness, or specific coping skills to get through the moment and move on. Others take the opportunity for a deeper look into their experiences and explore new ways to be in the world. I appreciate the range of what people are looking for in therapy and I love the conversations and insights that arise from reflection during these vulnerable times. I work with individuals and couples (LGBTQIA+ and straight) using kindness, curiosity and humor. My belief in people's strength and resiliency is at the core of my work.
